Before The Incident, Wagner Chief’s Video Gets Viral, See Here

The video was posted by Anton Gerashchenko, advisor to the minister of internal affairs of Ukraine.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Russian mercenary company Wagner, is allegedly seen in a new video purporting to show him in Africa days before he perished in a plane crash. In a video posted by a Telegram channel connected to Wagner, Prigozhin stated, “I am doing fine. Those who are discussing whether I’m alive or not, how I’m doing.”

It’s thought that Prigozhin perished in a plane accident on August 23. He was one of the ten passengers on the flight that crashed north of Moscow, killing all on board.

In the recently released video, the Wagner leader remarked, “For those who are discussing whether I’m alive or not, how I’m doing—right now it’s the weekend, second half of August 2023, and I’m in Africa. India Today was unable to confirm the video’s time or location.

He had stated that the video he was in was shot in Africa, but his appearance matched one that was made public on August 21. He had stated that in order to “make Africa even more free,” he was “hiring real strongmen. It was his first video to be made public following the military coup he launched against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The fact that Prigozhin made references to “people who like to discuss wiping me out or my private life” in the new video reveals that he was aware of the dangers to his life.

The Kremlin published a statement dismissing suspicions that Putin assassinated Yevgeny Prigozhin as an act of retaliation, calling it an “absolute lie”. The Wagner CEO was described by the Russian President as “a talented businessman” who made some “serious mistakes” in a sympathy letter to Prigozhin’s family.
