A woman from New York has gained attention for her TikTok and Instagram videos showcasing how she uses artificial technology and Photoshop to create fake boyfriends and make her ex-boyfriends jealous. In a video, Madeline Salazar, 29, demonstrates the process of manipulating pictures to include AI-generated images of men in various scenarios, presenting comical and absurd scenarios.
In the video, Salazar jokingly mentions, “My ex moved on so, I had to soft launch a new BF fast,” as she selects AI-generated images to create scenes of her with a new boyfriend. She categorizes her videos into three themes: pranks, absurdity, and what she calls toxic dating narratives.
Explaining her motivation, Salazar stated, “I brainstorm the most devious ways a woman can manipulate a man, and then I slap some humour on it using AI. People love these TikToks because in them I’m living out the kinds of schemes they fantasize about, and I make it funny.”

However, some viewers criticized Salazar, labelling her actions as “toxic” and “sad.” In response, she clarified that the part about her ex moving on was a joke, and she hasn’t used the content to seek revenge on an ex. She emphasized that her videos are intended for comedic purposes, although not everyone may understand her humour.
While Salazar has received requests from people asking for her AI services to make their partners jealous, she has declined most of them, expressing a reluctance to interfere with someone’s personal life. “I’m not in the business of making someone’s personal life toxic. If people are going to be manipulative, they’re already doing it anyway. They don’t need my help,” she said.
