A woman falls in love with a man who stole her mobile phone
The unusual love story of a Brazilian woman who fell in love with a robber has gone viral on social media. The pair described their love story in a Twitter video that has received more than 38,000 online views.
The woman, who went by the name Emanuela, described her “first date” at an event in Brazil by saying, “I was walking down the street where he lives, and unfortunately, I was mugged,” according to the New York Post. On the other hand, the unidentified thief admitted in the video that seeing the woman’s photo on her phone had caused his feelings for her to shift.
The man explained, “I was in a bad circumstance because I didn’t have a woman. You don’t see a brunette like her every day, I thought to myself as I looked at her snapshot on the phone, and I quickly regretted taking it.
The interviewer then quipped, “So you stole her phone and then her heart?” in jest. The thief responded “Exactly” to this.
The two have been dating for the past two years, according to the Post. It is still unknown, though, whether the woman’s parents would approve of her dating a convicted robber.
Meanwhile, Twitter users are baffled by their strange love story. While some argued that such odd love stories could only come from Brazil, others thought the tale was really endearing and held the view that romance could exist anywhere and under any conditions.
Love is capable of anything, as one user stated. Another person said, “It sounds like a comedy, but it’s real, Brazil.”
