Another incident on Vande Bharat
The Vande Bharat Express is in the news once more, but not for accelerating the pace of movement, stone attacks, or collisions with cattle, but rather for a ticketless traveler who could not control his need to smoke during the trip.
Another incident on Vande Bharat
The journey from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Secunderabad by rail had just passed Gudur, and it was still more than eight hours away from the final destination.
Without a valid ticket, a person got on the train and then locked himself in the lavatory. He would have been able to travel for free, but a drag killed him. He went to the toilet and lit a cigarette without being aware that the flagship train was equipped with fire alarms. Alarms began to sound immediately, and an automatic fire extinguisher started spewing aerosol into the compartment.

The train stopped at Manubulu station
Passengers panicked and called the train guard on the emergency phone located in their compartment. The train stopped just outside Manubulu station.
With a fire extinguisher in hand, members of the Railway Police sprang into action and broke the toilet’s window pane. They discovered the passenger inside, whose drags had caused a train to stop, and launched a full-fledged rescue operation. The caught smoker was held at Nellore for further action, after which the train continued on its route.
Videos showed aerosol particles inside the coach and a shattered window, apparently a result of panic among passengers.

“An unauthorized traveller from Tirupati boarded the train and barricaded himself in the C-13 coach’s restroom. He smoked inside the lavatory, which caused the aerosol fire extinguisher to automatically activate, according to a statement from a South Central Railway (SCR) Zone official from the Vijayawada Division.
