Bag sold for 51 lakh
A little bag that was smaller than a grain of salt was sold for $63,000 (Rs 51.6 lakh) at an online auction. The tiny bag is based on a well-known Louis Vuitton style and is brilliant yellowish-green in tone. The bag was made by the New York-based art collective MSCHF. The bag is only 657 by 222 by 700 microns (less than 0.03 inches wide), according to a CNN story. When MSCHF shared a picture of the bag on its Instagram account earlier this month, it stirred much controversy online.
LV bag sold for 51 lakh
The bag is smaller than a grain of sea salt, according to MSCHF, who noted this in the description and is narrow enough to fit through a needle’s eye.
It stated, “There are large handbags, typical handbags, and small handbags, but this is the pinnacle of bag miniaturization.”
The buyer sees the bag through a microscope
The buyer could see the merchandise through a digital microscope that was sold along with the bag.
The “LV” monogram from Louis Vuitton is seen on the bag in the pictures that MSCHF provided. Retail prices for the full-sized LV bag range from $3,100 to $4,300.
