Akhilesh Yadav Asserts SP’s Strength in Mainpuri Amidst BJP Critique

Akhilesh Yadav, the National President of the Samajwadi Party (SP), asserted that the people have given the BJP two opportunities to govern both in Delhi and the state.

In Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav, the National President of the Samajwadi Party (SP), asserted that the people have given the BJP two opportunities to govern both in Delhi and the state. However, he criticized the government’s lack of explanation regarding its work and the absence of hoardings as elections approach.

Speaking before Dimple Yadav’s nomination filed for the Mainpuri seat, Akhilesh Yadav expressed confidence in SP’s victory, anticipating a larger margin than before. He highlighted public concerns regarding food inflation and the BJP’s promises regarding farmers’ income, employment generation, and relief measures.

Akhilesh emphasized the role of the PDA (backward, Dalit, minority) alliance in defeating the BJP, citing the party’s failure to address issues such as youth unemployment and exam paper leaks. He questioned the value of MPs and leaders if votes are solely based on trust from Delhi.

Regarding allegations of intimidation and threats during elections, Akhilesh attributed such tactics to the BJP’s approach to securing votes, referencing the controversy surrounding electoral bonds. He stressed that corruption and inflation have risen due to such practices.

Akhilesh also addressed the significance of the upcoming election in Mainpuri, emphasizing a margin of victory exceeding three lakhs. Despite reluctance from the incumbent minister to contest from Mainpuri, Akhilesh noted that the public will demand accountability for his performance in the area.
