Roblox’s Grow A Garden Launches Trading & Cooking Event Update

Roblox’s popular farming simulation game, ‘Grow a Garden’, rolled out its highly anticipated Trading and Cooking Event Update on August 2, 2025.

This major content drop introduces a fully interactive cooking system, a new trading mechanism, exclusive cosmetics, and culinary-themed pets, redefining how players engage with their virtual farms.

Weeks of excitement from pre-launch admin events like the Volcano and Pool Party! built momentum, and players now hail the latest release as the most content-rich expansion yet.

Chris P Bacon Cooking Event

At the heart of the update lies the Chris P Bacon Cooking Event.

Players can now harvest crops to craft unique dishes using the Cooking Pot and deliver them to the game’s beloved pig NPC, Chris P Bacon.

Rewards vary based on recipe rarity and portion size, encouraging experimentation with ingredients.

“The new cooking system adds a fresh layer of creativity to farming. It’s strategy, skill, and fun rolled into one,” said one enthusiastic player.

Chris P’s cravings change every hour, creating a dynamic challenge and ensuring no two sessions feel the same.

Completing his tasks grants the coveted Food Crate, which contains themed items such as the Pink Cake, Golden Hotdog Statue, Hotdog Cart, and Banana Hammock.

Recipe Highlights

The update introduces a range of dishes, each with unique cooking times and ingredient combinations:

  • Soup: Any fruit or vegetable (5 min)
  • Sandwich: 2× Tomato, 1× Corn (7 min)
  • Burger: Pepper, Corn, Tomato (10 min 32 sec)
  • Sushi: 4× Bamboo, 1× Corn (7 min 21 sec)
  • Cake: Blueberry, Corn, Tomato (5 min 55 sec)

Feeding Chris P Bacon unlocks the Gourmet Egg, hatching rare culinary-themed pets including Bagel Bunny, Pancake Mole, Sushi Bear, Spaghetti Sloth, and French Fry Ferret.

“Collecting the Gourmet pets adds another layer of excitement to farming and trading,” shared a long-time player.

A major addition is the new Trading System, creating an economy-like experience.

Players need a Trading Ticket, purchasable at the Gear Stall for 100,000 Sheckles, to initiate exchanges.

This feature adds security and strategy to acquiring rare items, including the Grandmaster Sprinkler, a limited-edition prismatic garden tool.

Beyond cooking and trading, the update brings food-themed cosmetics such as the Artichoke and Fork Fence and new decorative furniture to personalise gardens.

‘Grow a Garden’ continues to be available on iOS, Android, and PC.

By merging farming, culinary creativity, and strategic trading, the Trading and Cooking Event Update strengthens the game’s cooperative community spirit.

“This isn’t just an update; it’s a new era for Grow a Garden,” said one developer, highlighting the blend of gameplay innovation and player engagement.

With new recipes, pets, and a deeper economic system, ‘Grow a Garden’ offers players more ways than ever to grow, cook, and trade their way to virtual farming success.
