The Council insisted on strict action against any officers involved, whether police, administrative, or judicial. It requested the High Court to remove police presence from court premises and take action against those responsible

The court has also issued instructions to remove within a week the posters, banners, pasted pamphlets, handbills and wall writing etc. put up by the candidates or supporters regarding the Bar Association elections in the city inside or outside the court premises.
