Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has issued strict directives to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of devotees attending the Maha Kumbh Mela.

DIG Vaibhav Kumar in a press conference disclosed that the stampede situation in Maha Kumbh claimed 30 lives early on January 29. 

Expressing his excitement, Kabir shared how the event has attracted people from different backgrounds, promoting unity across communities.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the situation in Maha Kumbh was now under control. He confirmed that some devotees had been critically injured in the stampede.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath specifically advised devotees to bathe at the nearest Ganga ghats instead of attempting to reach the 'Sangam Nose' area.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi contacted Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath thrice to monitor and take stock of the situation.

Providing an update, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “The situation is under control in Maha Kumbh.” He urged devotees to avoid going to the Sangam, follow instructions, and ignore rumors.
