Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the first full Union Budget of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third term, marking her record eighth consecutive Budget.

Nirmala Sitharaman tabled Economic Survey for 2024-25 in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, marking an important prelude to Union Budget 2025-26.

The Economic Survey, a key pre-budget document, will be presented in Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at 12 PM on Friday.

A significant acceleration of reforms across various sectors in India is expected with a focus on creating a more efficient and modern legal and regulatory framework.

The Parliament's Budget Session for 2025 will begin on January 31 and run until April 4, with the session divided into two parts.

The Council will also decide whether the 5% GST on delivery charges by food delivery platforms will be applied retrospectively from 2022. Currently, delivery charges are exempt from GST, sparking debates over potential backdated payments.

The Centre has scheduled an all-party meeting on Sunday, November 24, at 11 a.m. in the Main Committee Room of the Parliament House Annexe.
