Delhi Liquor Scam

Manish Sisodia, a former deputy chief minister of Delhi and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), who has been imprisoned for around 16 months in connection with an alleged liquor policy case, pleaded with the Supreme Court on Monday to consider his bail requests.

BRS leader K Kavita, lodged in Tihar Jail on charges of corruption in the Delhi liquor policy scam case, will remain in Tihar Jail for the time being.

AAP had dismissed these allegations yesterday, with party sources suggesting that the investigation is biased, being conducted with a political agenda from the BJP office.

During the hearing, the ED requested his custody for further questioning regarding the financial transactions in this case.
