Congress

The failure of the alliance would be the second biggest blow to the Congress after Mamata Banerjee, the leader of the Trinamool Congress, announced her intention to run for 42 seats in West Bengal alone.

The court proposed appointing a new returning officer not aligned with any political party and resolved to examine the contested ballot papers today.

Banerjee responded to the protests by farmers in Punjab and Delhi by saying that the BJP causes chaos everywhere.

Sources suggest that it remains undecided whether Kamal Nath will join the BJP or simply resign from the Congress.

The recent flurry of speculation was ignited by Nakul Nath's unilateral announcement of his intention to contest the Chhindwara Lok Sabha elections, a move that occurred without the party's formal endorsement.

In a statement, the Congress clarified that it is required to maintain ₹115 crore in its bank accounts, as mandated by tax authorities, which were frozen.

Addressing a press conference, Maken said, "Democracy has completely ended in India. All the accounts of the country's main opposition party have been frozen."

Although the goal of the electoral bonds was to reduce the amount of black money in politics and increase transparency in donations, the Supreme Court ruled that these goals did not justify the bonds.

Congress Party's former President, Sonia Gandhi, filed her nomination for Rajya Sabha. In addition to her, Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain, Ajay Maken, Renuka Chaudhary were made candidates by the party.

Recently, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pledged to enact a legal guarantee of MSP if the party secures victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, aligning with the Swaminathan Commission's proposal.
