Canada

Canada has accused India of involvement in the June murder of Canadian citizen and Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in a Vancouver suburb.

The Canadian advice stated, "Be extremely cautious when traveling in India due to the possibility of terrorist attacks occurring anywhere in the nation."

It is crucial to note that India vehemently rejects these allegations. Hardeep Singh Nijjar was an unequivocal supporter of Khalistan and was designated as a terrorist in 2020.

Canada cannot be seen in isolation from Pakistan in its efforts to crack down on terrorism. Be it Nijjar or Panjwad, both were wanted in India for terrorist incidents.

When asked if Canada will ask India to recall its diplomats, he reportedly responded, "We're not looking to escalate, as I've said, we're going to be doing the work that matters in continuing to have constructive relations with India."

The death of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was allegedly carried out by the Indian government, according to a startling claim made by Trudeau on September 18. India, on the other hand, has categorically denied the charges, labeling them as "absurd" and "motivated."

Bilateral relations between the two nations have deteriorated sharply since PM Trudeau made this unprecedented claim in the Canadian Parliament roughly a week ago.

Mr. Jaishankar reached Washington from New York on Tuesday after attending the United Nations's annual General Assembly meetings

Jaishankar's remarks have also been interpreted as being directed at Pakistan and China; however, the phrase "rule-makers" actually refers to Canada, a member of the G7 who wields power due to its strong relationship with the US.
