Mohammad Shami Debunks False Reports, Urges Media To Verify Sources

Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami has slammed a media outlet for publishing false reports about him and former spinner Amit Mishra. The reports alleged that Shami had criticized Mishra for comments he made about Virat Kohli, claiming Mishra sought “fame and power”.

Shami took to social media to express his disappointment and clarify the situation. “Disappointed to see false information circulating about Amit Mishra. It’s a humble request to verify news sources before publishing,” he wrote.

The pacer requested the media house to retract the story and issue a correction, tagging both Amit Mishra and Shubhankr Mishra. He also used the hashtag #StopFakeNews to emphasize the need for responsible reporting.

Shami’s statement sets the record straight and highlights the importance of fact-checking in journalism. The incident serves as a reminder for media outlets to prioritize accuracy and avoid spreading misinformation.
