IndiGo Passenger Hits Captain, Police Says ‘Appropriate Legal Actions Will Be Taken’
A passenger hit an IndiGo captain inside the aircraft while the pilot was making an announcement. Delhi Police says "We will take appropriate legal action against the accused." Government Sources say that the aviation security agency has started an investigation regarding the viral video in which a passenger punched the pilot when an IndiGo flight (6E-2175) from Delhi to Goa was delayed due to fog. The passenger hit the pilot while the pilot was announcing flight delays yesterday at around 1 pm. The passenger is identified as Sahil Kataria. IndiGo has filed a complaint against the passenger and the process of filing the case is underway. DCP, Indira Gandhi International Airport says, We received a complaint and are taking appropriate legal action.

NRI woman working in private firm raped in Delhi, CEO booked
The CEO of a private company has been booked for allegedly raping an NRI woman who worked at his office here, police said on Sunday. According to the police, the incident took place on September 14, 2023 at a five-star hotel in the Chanakyapuri area of New Delhi district. Based on a complaint from the Indian-origin US citizen on Saturday night, an FIR has been registered against the accused under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code at the Chanakyapuri police station, they added. The complainant alleged that she was working as an assistant general manager at the company where the accused was the CEO, the police said. She said the man was known to her uncle and had helped her in getting a job, the complaint added. A senior police officer said further probe is underway in the matter.
UP: Bareilly cop suspended over ‘indecent message’ to woman constable
A sub-inspector was suspended here for allegedly sending an "indecent message" to a woman constable and harassing her, a police official said on Sunday. A departmental inquiry has been initiated into the matter, they said. In a complaint sent to Bareilly Superintendent of Police Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan, the woman constable said that the SI misbehaved with her and shared evidence of the "indecent message" sent to her on the phone, Superintendent of Police (rural) Mukesh Chandra Mishra said. In response to the complaint, the SSP asked the SHO of Bhamora police station to probe the matter. The SHO's investigation report showed "gross negligence and indiscipline" by Sub-Inspector Chandrapal Singh, and said that he had misbehaved with the constable. The report said Singh had sent "unnecessary messages" on WhatsApp and acted contrary to his official responsibilities, "tarnishing the image of the police", the SP said. Following the SHO's report, the SSP suspended the sub-inspector on Saturday night and handed over the departmental inquiry into the matter to the Circle Officer of Aonla, Mishra added.
6 killed, 5 injured in collision between two cars in Rajasthan’s Sikar
Six people died and five were injured in a collision between two cars in Rajasthan's Sikar district on Sunday evening, police said. A car going from Sikar towards Laxmangarh on Jaipur Bikaner National Highway crossed the divider and collided with another car on the other side of the road, Sub Inspector Mohan Singh said. He said that the injured had been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The bodies have been kept in the mortuary of the government hospital of Laxmangarh for identification and post-mortem, he said. None of the victims have been identified yet, police said, adding that further probe is underway.
