Massive Fire Engulfs Delhi Police Training School in Wazirabad; No Casualties Reported
A massive fire broke out in the police training school in Wazirabad, Delhi, late at night. 8 vehicles of the fire department immediately reached the spot and the fire was brought under control at around 4:15 am. Around 200 four-wheelers and 250 two-wheelers caught fire. As of now, the cause of the fire is not clear yet, and the local police are investigating the matter, but there is no casualty in the incident: Delhi Fire Department.

Cricket for Physically Challenged: India beat England by 49 runs in 1st T20I
India beat England by 49 runs in the first T20I for the physically challenged organised by the Differently-Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) under the aegis of BCCI. On Sunday, batting first, Indian team scored 146 in the stipulated 20 overs. Middle-order batter Yogendra was the highest contributor for the side. He scored 31 runs with the help of a boundary and two sixes in 26 balls. England bowlers Callum Flynn, Anthony Clapham and Danel Michael took two wickets each. In reply, England were all out for 97 in 18 overs. Angus Brown was top-scorer with 25, while Ravindra Sante was the most successful bowler for the hosts with figures of 2/8. Sante, who scored 18 runs was adjudged 'Player of the Match."
Tourist guide injured as forest safari vehicle overturns in wildlife sanctuary
A forest safari vehicle overturned during a tour of a wildlife sanctuary in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra on Sunday, an official said. A tourist guide suffered minor injuries but no tourist was injured in the incident which occurred in Umred-Pauni-Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary, as per a Forest Department release. The vehicle carrying six tourists overturned while reversing nearly a half km away from the Gothangaon gate under the Kuhi range of the sanctuary. The registration of the vehicle has been suspended, the release said.
BJP announces Vidhan Sabha in-charges for Delhi
The BJP on Sunday announced the list of 70 Vidhan Sabha in-charges for Delhi to strengthen the party for the 2025 assembly polls in the national capital. The list was issued by Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva. Sachdeva said that they have announced this list of Vidhan Sabha in-charges almost a year ahead of the election in February 2025. "This will help us strengthen the party both organisationally as well as politically for both -- upcoming Lok Sabha polls and the assembly elections in Delhi," he said. The BJP currently has eight MLAs in Delhi.
Thane: Missing boy found dead in building’s water tank
A three-and-a-half-year-old boy who went missing on Friday was found dead in the water tank of his residential building in Bhiwandi city in Thane district of Maharashtra on Sunday, police said. The boy, Vigyan Chavan, went missing from near his home in the Kap Talao area and searches by his family members and police yielded no results. Police started the investigation after registering a case of kidnapping against unidentified persons, an official said. On Sunday, Chavan's body was spotted in the water tank of the building by some residents, who alerted the police. Police are investigating the case from various angles. the official added.

‘Missing’ farmer’s body fished out of Ganga canal in Ghaziabad
The body of a 52-year-old farmer, missing for two weeks, was recovered from the Ganga canal. The farmer, Umesh Chowdhary, disappeared on January 11, allegedly kidnapped by Neraj Kaushik over a debt. Following a complaint by his son, an FIR was filed on January 15. CCTV footage implicated Kaushik, leading to the arrest of him, his wife, sister-in-law, and Rajendra Sharma on Saturday. Interrogation revealed they confessed to smothering Chowdhary and disposing of his body in the canal. The police, with assistance from the NDRF, retrieved the farmer's body.
