Minimum Temperatures Settle Below Freezing Point In Most Of Kashmir
Snowfall in the higher reaches and cloudy skies in the plains pushed the minimum temperatures above the freezing point in most parts of Kashmir on Sunday, officials said here. They said snowfall was reported in Gulmarg, Tangmarg, Gurez, Sonamarg and many areas of Kupwara district. According to the officials, the skies in the plains of Kashmir, including in Srinagar city, are overcast, indicating the possibility of significant rainfall or snow that has eluded the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir so far this winter. The overcast conditions have significantly increased the night temperatures, with Srinagar city recording a low of 3.3 degrees Celsius, a rise of more than five degrees over the previous night.
‘Surya Namaskar’ To Be Conducted In All Rajasthan Govt Schools On February 15
'Surya Saptami' on February 15 will be observed in Rajasthan with a mass 'Surya Namaskar' programme in all government schools across the state. Following the order of School Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Director of Secondary Education Department Ashish Modi issued an order directing all chief district education officers to conduct 'Surya Namaskar' in morning prayers. He said that the department aims to make a world record on February 15 by conducting mass 'Surya Namaskar' by students, parents and teachers in all the schools.

Today, the number and scope of women's self-help groups in the country have expanded substantially. The day is not far when 'NaMo Drone Didiyan' will be seen helping in farming through drones in the agricultural field in every village. I came to know about women preparing bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides using local ingredients in Bahraich, UP. The women of Nibiya Begumpur Village associated with the self-help group prepare bio-fertilizers by mixing cow dung, neem leaves, and several medicinal plants. Similarly, these women also prepare organic pesticides... These women have formed an organisation named 'Unnati Jaivik Ikai', which helps these women in preparing bio-products. The demand for bio-products is continuously increasing., as a result of which, the income of women associated with these SHGs has increased, and their financial condition has improved."
