The power that instills fear in people must be replaced, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray said on Friday and asserted he was determined to do it. "If you (citizenry) fear power, then it is of no use. The power that instills fear in people should be replaced. There is no alternative and I am standing in front of you with that determination," the former chief minister told reporters here. "The common citizen should feel close to power. The power which instills fear should be overthrown and we all are working for it. I hope the coming year will see happiness and hope and democracy will flourish," he added.

Goa: Five Sunburn employees held for stealing passes worth Rs 82 lakh
The Goa police on Friday arrested five persons employed by the organisers of the Sunburn EDM festival for allegedly stealing passes worth Rs 82 lakh and attempting to sell them, an official said. The organisers had approached the police with a complaint about the theft, following which the arrests were made, deputy superintendent of Police (Mapusa) Jivba Dalvi said. The five men allegedly stole passes worth Rs 82 lakh and were in the process of selling them, he said. The three-day music festival began in Goa on Thursday.
