BJP President JP Nadda announced key appointments

BJP President JP Nadda recently unveiled a series of significant appointments within the party's organizational structure. These key appointments feature Sunil Bansal, who takes charge as the Yuva Morcha incharge, while Baijayant Jay Panda assumes responsibilities as the Mahila Morcha incharge. Bandi Sanjay Kumar has been appointed as the Kisan Morcha incharge, with Tarun Chugh designated as the SC Morcha incharge. Additionally, Radha Mohan Das Agarwal will serve as the ST Morcha incharge, Vinod Twade as the OBC Morcha incharge, and Dushyant Gautam will be responsible for the Minority Morcha. These appointments underline the party's strategic move to strengthen and diversify its leadership across various segments within the BJP's organizational framework under Nadda's leadership.

Assam STF Nabs Three with Fake Gold and FICN in Guwahati Smuggling Operation

The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam police on Wednesday evening busted a fake gold smuggling gang and apprehended three persons of the gang with fake gold and Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) in the Jorabat area, outskirts of Guwahati. Partha Sarathi Mahanta, DIG (STF) says, " During the operation, STF apprehended three persons along with one four-wheeler, one boat-shaped fake gold weighing about 1.627 kg, 150 FICN numbers of Rs 500 denomination (total of Rs 75,000), 2 numbers of Mobile phone."

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar says, " Regarding the three countries Pakistan, China and US which were actually three debated relationships in our early years. If we had been more 'Bharat', we would have had a less rosy view of our relationship with China. This is not my fantasy, there is a kind of record of that, there is an exchange of letters between Sardar Patel and Pandit Nehru on China and they had a starkly differing views about it...if we look at the whole UN security issue, this is not something which today someone is saying, there is a letter written by Nehru to Chief Ministers saying 'First let China take its plays in the security council' even when the 1962 conflict war was taking place where Nehru actually wrote to Kennedy saying 'look I need your help'...what happens is in a sense there is a certain, I would say, a kind of left-wing ideology which was strong in that period which...in China and similarly there is very ingrained hostility towards the United States."

Former Model and Key Witness in Sandeep Gadoli Case, Divya Pahuja, Found Dead in Gurugram Hotel

Former model Divya Pahuja found dead in a Gurugram hotel. Pahuja was incarcerated for seven years in connection with a case related to the alleged fake encounter of Gurugram gangster Sandeep Gadoli. She was reportedly Gadoli's girlfriend. Divya was allegedly murdered at a Gurugram hotel on Tuesday. According to the complaint filed by Pahuja’s sister on January 2, the former model had gone out for a walk with Abhijeet Singh, a Delhi businessman and owner of a hotel in Gurugram. It was at this hotel that Pahuja was allegedly murdered.

Supreme Court Interim Order Halts Himachal Pradesh High Court’s Directive to Relocate DGP Sanjay Kundu, Directs Him to Seek Recall

Supreme Court passed an interim order staying the direction passed by the Himachal Pradesh High Court which had asked the state government to shift senior IPS official Sanjay Kundu from the post of Director General of Police (DGP). A bench presided over by CJI D.Y. Chandrachud asked Kundu -- a 1989-batch IPS officer -- to approach the HP High Court with an application seeking recall of order removing him from the post of DGP.

Sonia Gandhi, only invitee from Congress to Ram temple consecration ceremony

Sonia Gandhi is the only invitee from Congress's first family to the January 22 consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya as siblings Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra ostensibly do not qualify to receive invitations based on the criteria set by the Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust. Sources said Sonia Gandhi was invited by temple construction committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra in her capacity as chief of the Congress Parliamentary Party. The trust is sending out invitations to three categories of political guests - presidents of the mainstream parties, leaders of the opposition in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, and those who participated in the Ram temple movement between 1984 and 1992. The special guests for whom the trust is rolling out the red carpet include seers, industrialists, artists and sportspeople.

British woman tourist found dead in Goa

A 46-year-old British woman who was on a holiday in Goa was found dead near a beach in Canacona village of the coastal state on Wednesday, police said. There was no external injury on the body of the woman, identified as UK national Emma Louise Leaning, they said. "Her friends do not suspect any foul play," a senior police official said. The body recovered near a beach at Canacona in the South Goa district, was "under decomposition stage", the police said in a release. The Canacona police have registered a case of unnatural death and the body has been sent for postmortem to the district hospital in Margao town of South Goa, the official said.

Court rejects Sam Higginbottom University VC’s bail plea over attempt to murder case

The district court in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj has rejected bail application of vice chancellor of Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences (SHUATS) Rajendra Bihari Lal in an attempt to murder case registered at Naini police station. According to district government counsel (criminal) Gulab Chandra Agrahri, an application for bail was moved on behalf of Prof Rajendra Bihari Lal, requesting court to release him on bail. At present, he is lodged in Naini central jail of Prayagraj.
