ED Officials Attacked During PDS Scam Probe in West Bengal; 3 Grievously Injured, Belongings Stolen, Vehicles Damaged
ED was conducting searches on the three premises of Sahajahan Sheikh, Convenor of TMC, North 24 Parganas in the case of the PDS scam of West Bengal. During the searches. On one of the premises, the ED team with CRPF personnel was attacked by 800-1000 people to cause death as these people were carrying weapons such as Lathis, stones & bricks. In this incident, 3 ED officials have been grievously injured. Injured ED officials are being admitted to hospital for treatment. The violent mob also snatched/robbed/stole personal/official belongings of ED officials such as their mobile phones, laptops, cash, wallets, etc. and badly damaged some of the ED vehicles.
ED Attaches Rs. 1.11 Crore Properties of Former Haryana DRO in NHAI, HSIIDC Funds Embezzlement Case
ED has provisionally attached properties worth Rs. 1.11 Crore belonging to Naresh Kumar Sheokand, erstwhile District Revenue Officer (DRO) of Panchkula, Haryana, and others under the provisions of PMLA, 2002 in the case of embezzlement of NHAI and HSIIDC funds. Total attachment in this case stands at Rs. 27.54 Crore.
ED Arrests Ornate Spaces Pvt. Ltd. Director in Oshiwara Project Fraud; Granted Custody Until 12th Jan by Special PMLA Court
ED has arrested Vijay Machinder, one of the directors of M/s Ornate Spaces Pvt. Ltd. on 03.01.2024 under the provisions of PMLA, 2002 in the case of defrauding & cheating flat buyers of the Oshiwara Project. Vijay Machinder was produced before the Hon’ble Special PMLA Court, Mumbai. The Hon’ble court has granted ED custody of Vijay Machinder upto 12/01/2024.
