Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) plans to launch 50 satellites in the next five years for geo-intelligence gathering. These satellites will be deployed in various orbits to monitor troop movements and capture images of extensive areas. The goal is to enhance India’s geo-intelligence capabilities and mitigate threats to the country. The satellites will span from geostationary equatorial orbit (GEO) to lower earth orbit (LEO) and very low earth orbit, allowing for critical assessment of different situations. Isro also highlighted the establishment of communication between satellites for collaborative monitoring.
