To ensure a respectful and graceful disposal of Ram Dhwaj and the National Flag in the wake of Republic Day celebrations and the ‘pran pratishtha’ at Ayodhya, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has issued a set of guidelines. The council has also released a centralised number and an app to lodge a request for deposition. The NDMC said the flags need to be properly disposed of, even if in damaged, torn, or scattered condition.
