China has reinforced its position as the top contender in the 33rd Olympic Games, holding the No.1 spot in the medals tally with an impressive 21 gold medals. This achievement brings their total medal count to 52, including 17 silver and 14 bronze. The games, which are now entering their second week, have seen China’s prowess extend across badminton, artistic gymnastics, table tennis, and shooting.
The United States has surged into second place with a strong performance across athletics, golf, and rowing. The U.S. team has secured 19 gold medals out of a total of 75 medals, alongside 29 silver and 27 bronze.

Australia is currently in third place with 13 gold medals and a total of 32 medals. Their haul also includes 11 silver and eight bronze medals.
As the host nation, France has captured fourth place with 12 gold, 15 silver, and 18 bronze medals, bringing their overall count to 45. France is looking to build on this performance as the Games continue.
Great Britain rounds out the top five with 11 gold, 13 silver, and 17 bronze medals for a total of 41.
India, with three bronze medals to their name, is positioned at 59th place on the medal table.
