The morning is the most rejuvenating and productive time of the day, and your accomplishments, aspirations, and happiness can greatly benefit from the things you do in the first few hours of waking up. Unfortunately, a lot of us wake up in the morning feeling exhausted and drowsy, and the rush to finish up daily tasks and get to work leaves little time for wellness and self-care routines. Consider eating breakfast as a thoughtful time. Taste the dish and feel its warmth. Take in the scent of your beverage. Chew slowly, taste your food thoroughly, and take slow, deliberate sips. It resembles a little taste-bud meditation.

Take a quick step outside if you can. As you stroll mindfully, enjoy the sensation of the sun’s warmth on your face and the crispness of the grass beneath your feet. Grounding and being reminded of the beauty around us are among the therapeutic qualities of nature. Thankfulness is a terrific way to start your day, even if it’s only for a few minutes.
