Summer Special Smoothies
Summer is around the corner and a liquid diet is the need and want of the season. To help you maintain your liquid intake while also taking care of essential nutrients and calories here are some super smoothie recipes to keep you in great shape, well-fed and high on energy.
Smoothies are easy to make and only require a blender, some fruits or vegetables and some sort of liquid base like water or milk of any kind.

BANANA GINGER SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
1 banana peeled, roughly chopped
3/4th cup any nut milk of your choice
1 teaspoon honey
½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger
Serves: 1
Time: 5 minutes
Method:
Combine banana, nut milk, honey and ginger.
Blend until smooth.
Serve in a tall glass.
GREEN APPLE SPINACH SMOOTHIE
Ingredients :
1 cup pineapple, peeled roughly chopped
1 cup de-seeded and roughly chopped papaya
1 cup coconut milk
3 teaspoon honey
½ cup ice cubes (optional)
Serves: 1
Time: 10 minutes
Method:
Blend all the ingredients together until smooth.
Its ready to serve!
PINEAPPLE PAPAYA SMOOTHIE
Ingredients :
1 cup pineapple, peeled roughly chopped
1 cup de-seeded and roughly chopped papaya
1 cup coconut milk
3 teaspoon honey
½ cup ice cubes (optional)
Serves: 1 Time: 10 minutes
Method:
Combine the coconut milk, papaya, honey, pineapple and ice cubes and blend in a juicer till the mixture is smooth and frothy.
Pour smoothie into a tall glass.
Serve immediately.
BOTTLE GOURD SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
1 cup bottle gourd, peeled roughly chopped
3 cups coconut milk
1 teaspoon fresh mint leaves
1 teaspoon cumin seeds, roasted
1 green chilli (optional)
3 teaspoon lemon juice (or more to taste)
Salt to taste
Serves: 1
Time: 5 minutes
Method:
Add chopped bottle gourd to a blender and blend it with a small amount of milk.
Once the bottle gourd is in the form of a paste, add rest of the coconut milk and mint leaves and blend for 30 seconds more.
Pour the mixture in a bowl, sprinkle lemon juice and cumin seeds.
Mix well and serve in a tall glass.
