Delhi Metro To Begin Services Early On Republic Day For Seamless Access To Kartavya Path

In a bid to ensure smooth travel for citizens attending the Republic Day celebrations at Kartavya Path, Delhi Metro has announced that it will begin services at 3:00 a.m. on January 26. This initiative will help people reach the venue in time for the grand ceremony, which marks India’s 76th Republic Day.

Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director (Corporate Communications) of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), confirmed the announcement. He said, “To ensure a seamless journey, trains will operate at 30-minute intervals until 6:00 a.m. After that, the regular timetable will resume for the day.” This early start aims to avoid congestion and help passengers travel comfortably to the event.

With early morning services, passengers are encouraged to plan their trips ahead of time. By taking advantage of the early Metro timings, commuters can avoid the last-minute rush and ensure a hassle-free experience.

Republic Day 2025: A National Celebration

As India celebrates its 76th Republic Day, the occasion holds deep historical and cultural significance. This day marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950 and honors the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters.

This year, the Republic Day celebrations will be graced by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who will serve as the chief guest. His attendance also commemorates 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Indonesia, strengthening the bond between the two nations.
