Match preview: GT vs MI- On Friday, May 26, the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will face off in the second qualifier for the Indian Premier League 2023. The match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With ten victories in 14 games, GT took the top spot in the points standings this season. MI is currently in fourth place in the standings with eight victories out of 14 games.
When GT played Chennai Super Kings in the previous match, they won the toss and decided to bowl. In the end, GT scored only 157 runs in 20 overs and suffered a 15-run defeat.
In their previous game against the Lucknow Super Giants, MI won the toss and decided to bat. LSG lost the match by 81 runs, as they could only muster 101 runs in 16.3 overs before being declared out. Akash Madhwal was named Player of the Match after taking five wickets for five runs in 3.3 overs.

The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is known for having favorable batting conditions that frequently produce high-scoring games. The pitch is expected to be flat and provide consistent bounce, allowing batters to freely unleash their strokes. Recent games played here have been examined, and it becomes clear that the batters have benefited greatly from the pitch. Teams have consistently recorded impressive totals, regularly going above the 180-run mark. The team that wins the toss may decide to chase the target. The reason behind this is the pitch’s property for favorable batting conditions.
