As the Maha Kumbh 2025 draws large numbers of devotees, VIPs, and VVIPs to the Triveni Sangam for the holy dip, the Yogi Adityanath government has implemented a strict ban on VIP protocols during the key bathing festivals, including ‘Amrit Snan’.
This move aims to provide an equal and seamless experience for all pilgrims.
In line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, the administration will not allow VIP privileges on significant bathing days or the surrounding dates.
The policy, announced well in advance, is now being enforced to ensure a smooth pilgrimage for all attendees.
The Yogi government issued a circular at the start of Maha Kumbh 2025, prohibiting VIP movement during Amrit Snan and major bathing festivals, as well as the day before and after these events.
The aim is to eliminate disruptions such as route changes, delays, or restrictions that could affect pilgrims.
VIPs and VVIP delegations visiting Prayagraj during Vasant Panchami, Magh Purnima, and Mahashivratri, along with a day before and after these festivals, will not receive special treatment.
Furthermore, the government has set a rule that any VIP or VVIP movement must be notified at least a week in advance to avoid last-minute disruptions.
Authorities have urged all visitors to remain patient and take necessary precautions while participating in the sacred events, given the large expected crowds.
