The Yogi Adityanath-led government is gearing up for the Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, aiming to make it the cleanest and most organized event in its history.
With millions of devotees gathering at the Sangam banks for a sacred dip during the holy festival, the state government will manage both the spiritual and practical aspects of the event with the utmost care.
Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the preparations are in full swing to uphold the grandeur and sanctity of this once-in-a-12-year event.
Emphasizing cleanliness and hygiene, the government has outlined an extensive plan to cater to the needs of the massive influx of pilgrims.
The initiative includes deploying over 10,000 sanitation workers dedicated to maintaining cleanliness across the sprawling Mela area.
In a significant move, the officials will install around 150,000 temporary toilets and urinals, supported by over 300 suction trucks and jet spray systems for thorough cleaning.
The state will also use QR codes to monitor and ensure the effectiveness of sanitation services.
To keep the Kumbh city pristine, 120 tipper-hoppers and 40 compactor trucks will be operational, all tracked via GPS to ensure timely waste management.
The authorities will place over 25,000 dustbins with liner bags, emptying each bin three times a day.
For effective management, 10,200 sanitation workers will be organized into 850 groups, and a dedicated Swachhata Colony will be set up to accommodate them.
The authorities will directly deposit their wages into their bank accounts to ensure timely payments.
The Yogi government’s comprehensive approach aims to set a new benchmark for cleanliness at such a monumental event, reflecting their commitment to both spiritual reverence and practical governance.
