Uttar Pradesh Haj Committee Unveils New Plans For 2025 Pilgrimage

Mohsin Raza, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh State Haj Committee and former minister, has announced a series of new measures aimed at enhancing the Haj pilgrimage experience for 2025.

During a review meeting held at the State Haj Committee office in Sarojini Nagar, Raza outlined several key changes and improvements in the pilgrimage arrangements.

One of the significant updates is the introduction of state-wise arrangements in Mecca, which aims to streamline and ease the pilgrimage experience for devotees.

In a notable change, the title Khadimul Hujjaj will replace Haj Sevaks, upgrading their roles to State Haj Inspectors to reflect their new responsibilities.

Raza emphasized that the training will comprehensively prepare all pilgrims before their journey.

Haj Committee Of India Boosts Financial Assistance To Pilgrims By 1,000 Riyals

Additionally, the Haj Committee of India has decided to increase the financial assistance to pilgrims, with a new amount of 2,100 Riyals being allocated, up from the previous 1,100 Riyals.

In his address, Raza also highlighted requests to the Chief Minister for alternative arrangements to replace retired employees of the State Haj Committee.

Furthermore, he has urged for an increase in the annual grant for the Haj Committee from one crore to five crores, anticipating a positive response soon.

Applications for the 2025 Haj pilgrimage are now open, with a deadline set for 9 September.

Applicants must submit two copies of their passport, a copy of their bank passbook or cancelled cheque, the original Aadhar card, PAN card, and a blood group report. They can however complete the application process online or via the Suvidha app.

As directed by the Central Haj Committee, state Haj committees and related organizations are actively facilitating the application and processing procedures to ensure a smooth and organized pilgrimage for all participants.
