In a strategic move to bolster the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) chances in the upcoming by-elections for 9 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath convened a critical meeting with key party officials and district ministers.
The gathering aimed to devise a comprehensive strategy for the elections scheduled to take place soon.
During the session, CM Yogi outlined clear directives for party leaders and officials, emphasizing the importance of establishing strong lines of communication with local constituents.
“We must connect directly with the people, listen to their concerns, and ensure prompt resolutions,” he urged.
This approach, he argued, would not only reinforce the party’s image but also enhance public trust in their leadership.
A central theme of the meeting was the necessity for collaboration among ministers and officials to secure victories in each constituency.
The Chief Minister asserted “Every seat is vital, and we must leave no stone unturned in our efforts.”
He called for precise management and oversight at the booth level, stressing that effective election management could be the difference between success and failure.
CM Yogi also instructed party members to increase their presence in the districts undergoing elections. He advocated for setting up local gatherings, or Chaupals, to better understand and address community issues.
“By fostering grassroots engagement, we can significantly boost public confidence in our party,” he noted.
State BJP President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary echoed the Chief Minister’s sentiments, highlighting the party’s readiness to contest all nine seats with vigor.
He expressed optimism that the BJP could reclaim not only the seats currently held by rival parties but also potentially expand their foothold by winning an additional seat that would soon be up for grabs.
The upcoming by-elections will see fierce competition, with the Samajwadi Party (SP) holding five seats and the NDA alliance also holding five.
The BJP, having previously secured three seats, faces a challenging landscape, especially in constituencies such as Katehari and Karhal, which the SP dominated in the last elections.
With prominent ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, in attendance, the meeting underscored a unified front as the party gears up for the electoral battle ahead.
