At a grand Eid Milan ceremony organised by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, political leaders, religious figures, intellectuals, and social activists from across India unanimously welcomed the Waqf Amendment Law. They called it a historic step toward justice, transparency, and unity within the Muslim community.
Jagdambika Pal: A Bold Step Toward Reform
Jagdambika Pal, Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Waqf Amendment, called the law a revolutionary reform that addresses decades of mismanagement and confusion. “This amendment will ensure transparency and accountability in the use of Waqf properties. It protects the rights of the poor and marginalised,” he said. Pal also noted that the bill underwent extensive public consultation and received broad-based support across communities. He added, “The country stands united behind this reform.”
Indresh Kumar: Press Conferences, Seminars To Spread Awareness
Indresh Kumar, mentor of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, announced a nationwide campaign to clear doubts and misconceptions about the Waqf Amendment. “We will organise over 100 press conferences and 500 seminars to explain the law’s benefits,” he said. Kumar stressed that the amendment promotes self-respect, equality, and justice within the Muslim society. “This law is not against anyone. It is for everyone’s benefit and peace,” he added.
Ramlal: A Path To Social Harmony
RSS liaison head Ramlal described the law as a major leap toward national unity. “This amendment will strengthen trust and social harmony. It reflects the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,’” he said. He urged citizens to spread awareness in their regions.
The Ministry of Minority Affairs procured 700 copies of Respect to Islam and Gift for Muslims, published by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch. The book aims to promote social harmony and understanding of Islamic values.
The Eid Milan event sent a strong message of inclusivity and reform, marking the beginning of a new chapter in community awareness and cooperation.
