Video: Family Of a Pregnant Woman Fights With In-Laws Over Non-Air Conditioned Birth Room

Two families in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, engaged into a violent fight on the streets when one of the families became angry that their daughter had to give birth in a hospital room without air conditioning.

Outraged, the woman’s family allegedly beat up the parents and sisters of her husband, setting up an entire fight between the two families. Video of the conflict shows people hitting and slapping each other.

The video is shared on twitter via @priyarajputlive

The husband’s family has reported the incident to the police, and it has been claimed that the woman’s relatives started the assault.

Ramkumar, the woman’s husband, said that his daughter-in-law had been delivered at a private hospital in Barabanki’s Civil Lines, and that he had covered all associated costs.

When the girl’s parents and other family members visited her in the hospital, they started to criticise Ramkumar for not making arrangements for an air-conditioned room. They allegedly assaulted him, his wife, and their two girls after he responded.

The matter is being investigated by the police.
