UP : Prayagraj-Rae Bareli highway Rs 1470 crore approved for four lane

In view of forthcoming Maha kumbh  NH 2 Highway connecting Prayagraj to Rae Bareli will be converted into four lane. For this project Rs 1470.93 has been sanctioned and the widening work will start soon.

This much awaited project has brought smile on the faces of those who move between Lucknow to Prayagraj on regular basis. This eill also relief from the problem of traffic jams on the road.

The distance from Prayagraj to Rae Bareli is about 120 kilometers. It is currently a two-lane highway. It was announced long ago to convert it into four lane. In view of the pressure of vehicles, the demand for road widening was being made for a long time. In view of the crowd during Kumbh, work is being done to repair the roads all around Prayagraj district.

The construction work of this road has also gained momentum. A target has been set to complete it before Maha kumbh 2025. Due to widening of four lanes, there will be relief from traffic jam and travel will also become easier.
