Zodiac Matches That Make The Best Couples
In a home in Varanasi’s Lanka neighbourhood, two sisters were discovered living with the body of their mother, who passed away about a year ago, according to police on Wednesday.
The woman passed away in December 2022, but according to her daughters, they neglected to carry out her final ceremonies and kept her body hidden in a room at the Mandarwa locality home.
After learning about the incident, police officers arrived at the scene and started an investigation.
According to Lanka Station House Officer (SHO) Shivakant Mishra, Madarwa, Samenghat resident Usha Tripathi, 52, passed away last year following a protracted illness.
He claimed that their two daughters, Pallavi Tripathi, 27, and Vaishvik Tripathi, 18, did not cremate their mother’s body and instead kept it locked in the room after she passed away. Her husband had left the family two years earlier and had not returned, even after his wife passed away.
The door of the house had been closed for the past week, and neither of them left the house. This caused the neighbours to become suspicious, so they knocked on the door and called the police when no one opened it.
Based on the information, police arrived at the location. The corpse was lying in the room when the police broke through the door of the house because it would not open. In the same room, both daughters were discovered to be seated.
Both daughters have been placed under arrest by the police, and an investigation is underway into the incident.
