Uncontrolled bus hits motorcycle, three dead, driver on run

Due to dense fog, visibility was impeded when a private bus hit a motorcycle from behind, resulting in three fatalities and two injuries, according to police on Saturday.

The incident happened on Friday night near Chakraut, on the Colonelganj-Belsar-Nawabganj road that comes under the Colonelganj police station area.

Two motorcyclists were killed when a private bus hit them from behind due to heavy fog. According to Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle after colliding with the motorcycle and ran over a pedestrian on a sidewalk.

According to him, two persons who were hurt in the incident are receiving medical attention at a hospital.

According to PTI, “One of the deceased was identified as Dashrath Lal Shukla (45), a resident of Pandey Chauraha. The identity of the two who were travelling on the motorcycle is yet to be ascertained.”

The corpses have been sent for autopsy. Teams have been formed to apprehend the bus driver, who is reportedly on run.
