A tragic incident occurred today, January 30, at the JK Cement factory in Madhya Pradesh’s Panna district. Two workers lost their lives, while more than 50 others sustained injuries after a structure collapsed at the plant.
Madhya Pradesh’s Panna Incident Details
The collapse took place when a ceiling slab was being installed in a section of the plant that was still under construction. According to reports, the central area of the structure gave way, leading to fatalities and injuries. At the time of the collapse, over 50 workers were on-site, performing their duties.
The severely injured workers have been transferred to local hospitals for treatment, and authorities are working diligently to rescue those still trapped under the debris. Police and administrative teams are on-site, coordinating efforts to ensure the safety of the remaining workers and facilitate swift medical attention.
Authorities Launch Investigation
The authorities have already reached the site to investigate the exact cause of the accident. While the precise number of deaths and injuries is yet to be confirmed, rescue operations continue as officials work to gather more information.
Khajuraho MP and State BJP Chief Vishnu Datt Sharma have contacted the district administration, urging immediate assistance for the victims. Sharma has also instructed local officials to ensure that proper medical care is provided to the injured workers.
