Puja Khedkar, a trainee IAS officer currently facing scrutiny for allegedly misrepresenting her disabilities to clear the Civil Services examination, has vowed to address all accusations before the committee.
Calling the situation a “media trial,” she asserted, “This is a media trial, and people are watching. The truth will eventually come out. According to the Indian Constitution, a person cannot be considered guilty until proven otherwise.”
In a statement to the media, she declared, “I will present my side of the story to the committee and accept whatever decision they reach.”
Khedkar had initially submitted two medical certificates, one claiming visual impairment and another for mental illness, to the Union Public Service Commission under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities category.

However, recent reports indicate a new development: Khedkar allegedly attempted to obtain a third medical certificate from a hospital in Pune to support her claim of physical disability, specifically in the locomotor disability category. The hospital reportedly declined her request, citing reasons that made issuing such a certificate unfeasible.
Sources also revealed that Khedkar had undergone multiple medical tests aimed at proving her physical disability, but the examining doctor concluded that issuing a disability certificate was not possible.
The controversy surrounding Puja Khedkar continues to unfold as the investigation progresses.
