Tragedy Strikes Hyderabad as Building Fire Claims Nine Lives
A tragic incident unfolded in Hyderabad on Monday as a massive fire erupted in a multi-storeyed apartment complex, claiming the lives of at least nine people, according to the police. The fire originated on the ground floor, where chemicals stored in drums fueled its rapid spread throughout the building.
As the rescue efforts unfolded, over 20 individuals were successfully evacuated from the premises, with a notable focus on saving those residing on the first and second floors, where most of the victims were tenants. Fortunately, occupants on the third and fourth floors sustained minor injuries.

The building’s owner, identified as Ramesh Jaiswal, is currently evading authorities. It has been revealed that he utilized the ground floor as a storage facility for oil drums and cans.
In a poignant display of bravery during the rescue operation, firefighters were captured on video saving a child and a woman trapped in the building. The footage, shared by the news agency, depicts the rescue team pulling the distressed occupants through a window on the first floor using a temporary staircase. Additionally, the clip highlights the intense efforts of firefighters employing water cannon to combat the raging flames.
