Kalindi: A Unique Attraction on the Yamuna River

UPSTDC is managing the Kalindi Floating Restaurant at the Triveni Boat Club in Prayagraj, making it Uttar Pradesh’s first floating dining facility. Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh noted that Kalindi has been popular with Prayagraj locals and will attract Mahakumbh tourists seeking a memorable experience. The restaurant reflects the state’s commitment to enhancing tourism and providing diverse experiences, such as similar initiatives at Ramgarh Tal in Gorakhpur.

Facilities and Extended Hours During Mahakumbh*

Kalindi offers an air-conditioned dining area with 40 seats, open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. UPSTDC is considering extending the restaurant’s hours for the Mahakumbh to accommodate morning visitors. The corporation also operates the Rahi Triveni Darshan Hotel on Yamuna Bank Road, which provides additional lodging for devotees visiting the Sangam.
