To get father’s job, 25-year-old Jharkhand plans his murder; arrested

According to police on Sunday, a 25-year-old man in Ramgarh, Jharkhand, hired killers to kill his father in order to get his job at Central Coalfield Limited (CCL) on compassionate grounds.

On November 16, father Ramji Munda was shot by unknown assailants riding motorcycles, leaving him critically injured. As of right now, he is in the hospital, and his health is considered critical.

At first, Amit Munda, the son, was not suspected by the authorities or the family. But the inquiry turned up evidence of Amit’s role in the homicide. He was detained by police on Sunday.

The CCL employee was shot at by contract killers that his son hired in order to get the job out of compassion, the police confirmed.

The police have started a manhunt to find the contract killers, who are still at large.

A similar incident occurred in 2020 at a CCL facility in Barkakhana, where a 35-year-old unemployed man killed his 55-year-old father, a security guard.

If a permanent employee at the CCL passes away while they are still employed, their dependents are entitled to a permanent posting at the company.
