On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that a statewide initiative called ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ will be introduced on October 31, the anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth, to provide young people with a chance to actively participate in a range of nation-building activities.
PM Modi announced during his Mann Ki Baat radio program that the youth should register on MYBharat. Gov.in, as well as the ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ website, will also be created.
“MYBharat will give India’s youth a chance to actively participate in a range of nation-building activities. The Prime Minister declared, “This is a unique effort to integrate India’s youth power into building a developed India.”
In addition, he paid respects to the late former prime minister Indira Gandhi and mentioned that October 31 is her death anniversary.
PM Modi reaffirmed in his speech how important it is to be “vocal for the local.” “Like every time, this time too, during festivals, our priority should be ‘Vocal for Local’,” he stated.
“I want to reiterate my request that wherever you go on tourism or pilgrimage, buy products made by local artisans,” he stated.
