Staqu’s AI-based audio, video analytics part of surveillance setup for Ram Mandir inauguration

Staqu Technologies, an Artificial Intelligence start-up based in Gurgaon, has announced that its AI-powered audio and video analytics, along with AI-integrated cameras, will be part of the security surveillance system for the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The surveillance cameras, powered by Staqu’s AI-driven audio-video analytics platform called JARVIS, will monitor the event for potential threats and suspicious activities, relaying real-time alerts to authorities.

Staqu’s AI-integrated cameras have been strategically installed at famous hotspots in Ayodhya, including Kanak Bhawan, Hanuman Garhi, Shri Nageshwar Nath Mandir, Ram Ki Paidi, and Ram Janmabhoomi. The JARVIS analytics platform will monitor suspicious activities during the event through facial recognition and number plate recognition.

The cameras are equipped with access to a database of 8,00,000 criminals through Staqu’s Trinetra software, facilitating the digitization of criminal records for the Uttar Pradesh police department.

The cameras utilize enhanced high-resolution facial recognition with an accuracy as high as 99.7%, enabling the identification and monitoring of suspects at different locations. Additionally, they can perform reverse facial recognition in real time based on clues such as a person’s photograph.

Staqu’s JARVIS platform allows surveillance cameras to perform attribute-based searches, such as identifying a person from a crowd based on specific clothing, color, style of accessories, or the presence of an accompanying child.

The release mentions Staqu’s collaboration with nine state police departments, providing AI-enabled insight-based analytics for events like security breaches, violence, overcrowding, and unauthorized access. Staqu’s Trinetra tool combines facial recognition with audio cues to maintain a criminal’s trail.

The consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22.
