Sick Woman Missing From District Hospital In Meerut, Family Members Protest

Meerut: A sick woman from Rambagh Colony of TP Nagar police station area went missing from the district hospital. Angered by the police not being able to trace the woman, the family members demonstrated at the SSP office on Tuesday. Rakesh Saini, a resident of Mohalla Soap Godown of Rambagh Colony, said that he had admitted his wife Babita Saini to the district hospital on April 6 due to illness.

When he reached home to have dinner on April 7, a woman wearing a burqa, along with her fellow young man, sniffed intoxicants and took his wife away in an e-rickshaw. Since then he has been making rounds of Delhi Gate police station and has also complained about the matter on the Chief Minister’s portal, but the police has not been able to trace his wife. On Tuesday, angry family members demonstrated at the SSP office. Rakesh said in the complaint that even after providing CCTV footage, the police is not taking any action. SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan assured the people that the woman will be recovered safely.
