CM's press advisor Abhishek Prasad alias Pintu
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Sahibganj’s Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ram Niwas Yadav and Abhishek Prasad Pintu, the press advisor to the Chief Minister. In response to this development, the Cabinet Secretary has penned a letter to the ED, seeking information about the cases in which DC Yadav has been summoned.
Sources reveal that the Cabinet Secretary expressed concerns over the lack of clarity regarding the FIR involving the summoning of Sahibganj’s DC and the Chief Minister’s press advisor, Abhishek Prasad alias Pintu. This move follows a similar letter previously sent by the Director General of Police (DGP) when the ED had summoned two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), Pramod Mishra and Rajendra Dubey, in connection with an illegal mining case in Sahibganj.
It is noteworthy that just two days prior to these events, former MLA Pappu Yadav underwent questioning in relation to a case involving illegal mining amounting to Rs 12.50 crore and alleged attempts to influence witnesses in Sahibganj, Jharkhand. The unfolding situation raises concerns about the legal complexities surrounding these cases, prompting top officials to seek clarification from the ED.
As the ED investigation unfolds, there is a growing need for transparency and clear information to address the ambiguities surrounding the FIRs involving the Sahibganj DC and the Chief Minister’s press advisor. The letters from both the Cabinet Secretary and the DGP underscore the importance of clarity in legal proceedings and the need for a comprehensive understanding of the charges against the individuals involved in these cases.
