Businessman Robert Vadra dismissed the latest questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding a Gurugram land deal case, asserting that he is ‘too strong for all this’.
The statement came a day after Vadra faced hours of interrogation by the agency.
Vadra, in a post on social media, accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating a political vendetta against him and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
He claimed that the ongoing investigations were part of a ‘witch hunt’ targeting him.
Vadra’s remarks were accompanied by a political cartoon further criticizing the ruling party.
Sources indicate that Vadra has been summoned for additional questioning today, 16 April.
Despite the pressure, Vadra reiterated his stance of innocence, writing on Facebook, “I’m here for any kind of unjust pressure. I believe in the truth, and truth will prevail.”
The businessman also took to social media to address what he described as restrictions placed on his charitable work during his birthday week.
Vadra claimed that his plans to support the elderly and provide gifts to children were paused due to interference from the government.
Robert Vadra Criticizes Government Interference
Businessman Robert Vadra criticized the authorities, suggesting they were trying to hinder his efforts to help others and speak out against injustices faced by minorities.
“My Birthday Week Seva has been paused for a few days. Plans I have made for feeding the elderly and gifts for all the children in different areas will be continued as soon as I get over the ‘Government’s ways of stopping Me’, from doing good and speaking about their unjust behavior towards minorities, or if there are wishes and talks of me being in politics,” Vadra stated.
Following hours of questioning by the Enforcement Directorate, Vadra left the ED office, maintaining that the investigation was politically motivated.
Vadra also noted that he had already submitted over 23,000 documents to the agency in 2019 and called the current summons politically motivated.
“All the questions which I have answered before are being answered again. There is no issue. I have nothing to hide. Everything is answered; everything will be answered again,” Vadra remarked.
He further added, “23,000 documents were submitted in 2019. The case that they are asking me about is a 20-year-old case. This is politically motivated. We abide by all the rules and regulations when we do any transaction. The ruling government always misuses the agency. They can ask me as many questions. I have nothing to hide. All is good.”
