Results Of UP Board High School And Intermediate Examinations Declared, Sitapur Students Top List

Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council declared the results of class 10th and 12th on Saturday. According to this, 89.55 percent candidates passed in high school and 82.60 percent candidates passed in intermediate. This time, candidates from Sitapur have topped the state in the high school and intermediate examinations. In high school, Prachi Nigam of Sitapur has topped the state with 98.50 percent marks, while Deepika Sonkar of Fatehpur (98.33 percent) stood second and Navya Singh (98 percent) of Sitapur stood third. In Intermediate, Shubham Verma of Sitapur stood first with 97.80 percent, while Vishu Chaudhary of Baghpat (97.60 percent) stood second and Kajal Singh of Amroha (97.60 percent) stood third. The total number of passed candidates in high school includes 12,38,422 boys and 12,23,604 girls. The passing percentage of boys is 86.05 and the passing percentage of girls is 93.40. Among all the candidates, the passing percentage of girls is 7.35 more than the passing percentage of boys. Whereas in Intermediate, among the total passed candidates, there are 10,43,289 boys and 9,82,778 girls. The passing percentage of boys is 77.78 and the passing percentage of girls is 88.42. Among all the candidates, the passing percentage of girls is 10.64 more than the passing percentage of boys.

Result declared in the shortest span for the second consecutive time

Director of Education (Secondary) Dr. Mahendra Dev and Secretary of Secondary Education Council Dibyakant Shukla, while declaring the results, said that with the board examination of the year 2024, the Secondary Education Council has set new records. This year, for the first time, the UP Board has conducted the examination in a record 12 working days and at the same time, by successfully completing the evaluation of answer sheets in a record 12 working days, the result of the board examination has become the first for the second time in the history of 100 years, after the year 2023. He informed that the high school and intermediate examinations were conducted between February 22, 2024 and March 09, 2024 at a total of 8,265 examination centres. At the same time, the evaluation of written answer sheets of high school and intermediate was completed in just 12 working days from March 16, 2024 to March 30, 2024 at a total of 259 evaluation centers set up in various districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Passing percentage of girls increased in high school

A total of 29,47,335 candidates, including 29,36,353 institutional and 11,982 individual candidates, were registered in the high school examination. Of these, 27,38,999 institutional and 10,365 individual candidates i.e. a total of 27,49,384 candidates appeared in the examination. Out of the candidates included, 14,39,243 were boys and 13,10,121 were girls. Of these, a total of 24,62,026 candidates including 24,55,041 institutional and 6,985 individual candidates were declared passed. The passing percentage of institutional candidates is 89.63 and the passing percentage of individual candidates is 67.39. The passing percentage of institutional candidates is 22.24 more than the passing percentage of individual candidates. The evaluation of high school answer sheets was done by 94802 examiners. Compared to the year 2023, this time there has been a decrease of 0.59 in the passing percentage of boys and an increase of 0.06 in the passing percentage of girls. The overall passing percentage has decreased by 0.23 percent.

Increase in the number of first class students in Intermediate

A total of 25,78,007 candidates including 24,25,426 institutional and 15,25,581 individual candidates were registered. A total of 24,52,830 candidates, including 23,16,910 institutional and 1,35,920 individual candidates, appeared in the examination. Among the candidates, 13,41,356 were boys and 11,11,474 were girls. A total of 20,26,067 candidates including 19,08,647 institutional and 1,17,420 individual candidates were declared passed. The passing percentage of institutional candidates was 82.38 and the passing percentage of individual candidates was 86.39. The passing percentage of institutional candidates is 4.01 less than the passing percentage of individual candidates. The evaluation of Intermediate answer sheets was done by 52,295 examiners. In comparison to the year 2023, the total number of intermediate candidates has decreased by 1,90,173. There has been an increase of 2.54 in the percentage of candidates passing with honors in first division and an increase of 2.83 in the percentage of candidates passing in first division. The passing percentage of boys has increased by 8.44 and the passing percentage of girls has increased by 5.42. The overall passing percentage has increased by 7.08 percent.
