The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor project is currently under construction. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor is being constructed by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL).
The corporation claims that the viaducts span six rivers that run through Gujarat. The rivers are Purna, Mindhola, Ambika, Venganiya, Par, and Auranga in the Navsari district, and Purna and Auranga in Valsad.
After the project is finished, a 508 km double-line track will connect Ahmedabad and Mumbai, allowing travellers to get there in just 2.07 hours.
The construction of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor is estimated to cost approximately Rs 1,08,000 crore. According to the government’s estimate, a Japanese loan covering 81% of the project’s cost is being provided at an astounding interest rate of 0.1%.
Together with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the project in 2017.
