PM to chair Third National Conference of Chief Secretaries in Delhi

On December 28 and 29, 2023, in Delhi, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will preside over the third National Conference of Chief Secretaries. This is the third such conference; the first two took place in Delhi in January 2023 and Dharamshala in June 2022.

The National Conference of Chief Secretaries is organized to promote partnership and participative governance between the Center and State Governments, in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of implementing cooperative federalism. The National Conference of Chief Secretaries will take place on December 27 and 29, this year.

More than 200 people, including chief secretaries and other senior officials from all states and union territories as well as representatives of the central government, will attend the three-day conference. By strengthening the delivery mechanisms of government interventions, it will create the framework for cooperative action aimed at improving the standard of living for both rural and urban populations.

This year’s National Conference of Chief Secretaries will have “Ease of Living” as its main theme. The focus of the conference will be on the creation and execution of a shared development agenda and strategy for unified action in cooperation with the States.
