Manohar Lal Khattar, who currently serves as Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, was born in 1954 in Haryana’s Rohtak district. He began his public life with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh before joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in the 1990s.
Khattar rose through the party ranks and became Chief Minister of Haryana in 2014 after winning from Karnal, marking the BJP’s first government in the state.
Over the years, Manohar Lal Khattar has remained closely associated with organisational responsibilities as well as policy areas tied to urban development and infrastructure.
